Darby Blake

Hi there! I'm Darby Blake, owner of High Tide Farm. Raised in Seattle, I've been immersed in the food industry since childhood. My parents worked in food—my stepdad as an executive chef and my mom as a caterer. Growing up, I helped at events like the Bite of Seattle, sparking my interest in food production.

Attending Evergreen State College in Olympia deepened my passion for farming sustainably. I learned that small-scale farming, when done right, can be both profitable and environmentally beneficial. After working on farms in Washington and Detroit, I now run my own farm in the fertile Kent Valley. Come taste our delicious produce at local markets!
